Auburn Bay

BIG CHANGES are coming!

Published Thursday, January 14, 2016

Big changes are coming to the way you and your family access Auburn House and Park.  These changes have been made to ensure residents are getting the best access, safety, security and efficiency when they visit.

MEMBERSHIP CARDS WILL BE REQUIRED TO ACCESS AUBURN HOUSE FACILITY & PARK

To better serve the Members of the Auburn Bay Residents Association, we are pleased to announce the completion of our Gatehouse secondary entrance. This entrance has been created to improve access and egress to/from the park during peak times (mainly in the summer months). As we prepare to open this project, we will be implementing a policy requiring all Members to present a valid membership card in order to access the Auburn House facility or park. This will help to improve efficiency, increase security, and bring us in line with many other communities.

We understand that this is a significant policy shift, and we want to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible. For this reason, we are giving a great deal of notice to our members to give everyone a chance to find or replace lost or missing cards. Cards can be reprinted any time Auburn House is open (9:00am to 10:00pm seven days per week).

For new members of the community who may only have a temporary membership, please be advised that photo ID will be required to be presented with your temporary membership card.

The new policy takes effect June 17, 2016.

GUEST POLICIES

Auburn House and Park are so popular that we are overflowing! To ensure our facility and park are primarily for the enjoyment of residents, the Guest Policy will be changing as follows:

♦ Max # of Guests (non Auburn Bay residents)  per Household Per Day

5 (formerly 8)

♦ Max # of Guests on a Guest List

25 (formerly 30)

♦ Max # of Guest Lists accepted per day (Summer)

5 (unchanged)

♦ Max # of Guest Lists per Household per Summer ($30 each for additional lists)

2 (unchanged)

♦ Max # of Guests for a Youth aged 12-15 (with parental permission)

2 (unchanged)

The new policy takes effect May 1, 2016.

ACCESS FOR YOUTH AGED 12-15

To help ensure safety and security of all facility users, youth aged 12-15 will have to receive parental permission to access the park without an adult. This is a policy that has been very effective at other lake communities. Waivers are available at Auburn House or by clicking HERE; this policy will go into effect on June 17, 2016.

The ABRA thanks everyone in advance for their help and cooperation as we shift to these new systems. We look forward to welcoming you to Auburn House in the very near future. Should you have any questions, please contact Auburn House at 403-537-2601 or by email.
